Installing StudyOwl on your phone

StudyOwl is fully responsive and works great in your phone's browser as-is, but you can also install it to your home screen for a more native, full-screen feel.

On iOS Safari: tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen." On Android Chrome: tap the menu (⋮), then "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen."

On iPhone and iPad specifically, adding StudyOwl to your Home Screen from Safari is also what enables push notifications (like your streak reminder) — a regular browser tab, Chrome included, can't receive them on iOS. On Android, push works in your browser without installing.

Once installed, pages you've already visited — like your dashboard and recently opened chapters — stay available offline, even without a connection. Starting a new quiz or exam still needs a connection, since scoring happens on our servers.
