Using StudyOwl
StudyOwl is a study and review platform. It's free to use during our launch period — and if that ever changes, you'll get clear notice in the app well before anything costs money. Create an account with an accurate name and email, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think your account has been compromised.
Your account
You're responsible for activity on your account. Some accounts are created by an administrator on your behalf with a temporary password — you'll be asked to set your own the first time you sign in. If you opt into leaderboards or social features, your name and XP become visible to other learners in your own organization — never beyond it. Completing sections and books can earn certificates carrying your name, verifiable by anyone with their code.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service — that includes attempting to access another student's account, disrupting the platform, or scraping content in bulk. Content you submit (like notes, shared notes, or reports) should be your own and shouldn't be abusive or spam.
Account suspension & deletion
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us — see Contact below.
No warranty
StudyOwl is provided as-is, without guarantees of uptime, accuracy of study content, or fitness for any particular exam or purpose. It's a study aid, not a substitute for your own judgment or official curriculum materials.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continuing to use StudyOwl after an update means you accept the revised terms.
