Getting more hearts before the daily refill

If you run out early, you don't have to wait — you can spend XP to buy hearts back immediately, either from the hearts indicator in the header or, if it happens mid-quiz, from a prompt right there in the question feedback.

You can buy more than one at a time. Use the − and + next to the price to pick how many, then confirm: hearts cost 50 XP each, and the control only ever offers what you can actually afford and fit under the 10-heart cap. Buying several at once is worth knowing about mid-quiz — one purchase keeps you going instead of stopping you again two questions later.

This only spends XP that's earmarked as spendable; it never reduces your all-time total, so buying hearts doesn't affect your leaderboard rank.
